The 10th ICAIOS Conference

Over the past twenty years, Aceh has transformed from a region marred by conflict to one that serves as a beacon of hope and recovery. While Aceh’s journey since then offers invaluable lessons for peacebuilding worldwide, it also underscores the complex and ongoing challenges of sustaining long-term peace. Issues such as poverty, unequal access to economic opportunities, healthcare disparities, and social cohesion remain pressing concerns that require collective attention and innovative solutions. This precarious condition also happens in several countries in Asia. Therefore, collaborating with Universitas Malikussaleh, International Centre for Aceh and Indian Ocean Studies (ICAIOS) held the 10th ICAIOS conference themed “Post Conflict Development in Asia: Reflections, Resilience, and Future Pathways”. This conference aims to provide a platform for critical reflection on these challenges and an exploration of strategies for ensuring a resilient and inclusive future for post-conflict countries in Asia specifically. Anchored in an interdisciplinary approach, this conference calls on scholars, policymakers, and community leaders to examine the intersection of post-conflict recovery and broader regional and global contexts, particularly within the Asian framework.

We are very pleased to welcome your participation in our conference.
